GREEKFEST

There will be a very short Greek Fest meeting on Sunday July 12th for all the non-food booth co-chair persons in the Hall immediately following Church.  These departments include Buses co-chairs, equipment rentals co-chairs, advertisement co-chairs, Kitchen co-chairs, food purchasing co-chairs, Inside & outside Vendor co-chairs, Security co-chairs, parking co-chairs, waste & clean up co-chairs, tent co-chairs, decorations co-chairs, electrical co-chairs, web site co-chairs, etc…    Also anyone else is invited to attend and comment on any new or old ideas.

It that time of year. Time to start preparing for GreekFest 2009.  Picture Greekfest as a giant airplane on a runway waiting to take off. Hundreds of people have checked its engines, made sure it is fuelled and finally the engines are revved up for takeoff. The Pilots in the Kitchen go over their checklists. The plane is stock still, but as it starts down that runway it picks up speed. And God willing every thing is go and the airplane lifts off the ground and is airborne.
Our Greekfest airplane is set to fly in September18,19 and 20 2009. So the ladies are cooking, cooking and more cooking. The Booth captains are getting their Ground Crew together and checking their checklist from previous years. In a period of economic hardship, everyone is working extra hard to make 2009 the best Greekfest ever for our guests. This is a matter of pride.  Our Greekfest airplane is starting to move, but its ability to get airborne is up to every person in our church. We thank god we have such wonderful people !

This year corporate sponsorships are available to anyone in the St. George Community.  For $2500 your business will have its name up on a banner in the Hall during GreekFest, you will be listed on the GreekFest website as a corporate sponsor, and your business will be included in GreekFest ads (including those on the radio.)

-If you would like to make a donation to underwrite the cost of food please see Wayne Wheeler or John Kotsianas.

Please watch for upcoming baking days.  Lots of help is needed and appreciated.
